Keeper by Kathi Appelt
There was a 10 year-old girl named Keeper. Her mother was a mermaid who swam away when Keeper was just three. So when a blue moon comes out, all the mermaids gather at a sandbar. That’s just where Keeper is headed with a seagull named Captain and a dog named B.D. (short for Best Dog). I think this would be a good book for people who like fiction.
