Each Little Bird that Sings by Deborah Wiles
This book is about a girl named Comfort Snowberger. She is quite an explorer, a recipe tester, and a funeral reporter. Writing about dead people is a strange thing for a young girl, but Comfort grew up in a funeral home, so she’s used to death. At least she thinks she is, until her great aunty dies and then everything comes crashing down for Comfort. Her best friend she thought she could always trust turns on her. All Comfort wants to do is sit in a closet and hide. I would recommend this book to people who really like stories with meaning. It can be really difficult to shine at times.

  1. Wow! I couldn't imagine growing up in a funeral home. Very different. This author has a new book out called "Countdown." It is supposed to be very good.

  2. This is one of my favorite books. She wrote this after not publishing for 5 years. She went through a really hard time in her life. The result was this book. Her new book, Countdown, just won a notable. It's very good, but very different.
