Hoops by Walter Dean Myers
This book is about a boy named Lonnie Jackson who loves to play basketball and has a championship game coming up, but Lonnie has problems in his life. So Lonnie and his coach, Cal, have to make the decision of a lifetime. I would recommend this book to students who enjoy basketball stories and Walter Dean Myer’s books.
